Speedweeks 2008 seem like a long time ago. Back then, Kurt was the Busch brother making all the noise - and the news. Tony Stewart and Kurt tangled during practice for the Budweiser Shootout and the action between the two didn’t stop on the track.
There were plenty of rumors about what may or may not have happened in NASCAR’s trailer between the two. NASCAR VP of Corporate Communications, Jim Hunter was IN the trailer with those guys. His interview with us the next day ON PIT ROW is one of my favorites. Check it out and let us know what you think.

I guess everybody has an opinion on this one. Does Kyle Busch remind you of the late Dale “The Intimidator” Earnhardt?
Fox Sports’ Lee Spencer asked Dale Earnhardt Jr that question.
“On the racetrack, there may be some comparisons there,” Earnhardt said. “He’s very fast. He’s running well. He’s quick and he’s aggressive. This is Dale Earnhardt from ‘89 and earlier. My daddy quit doing that stuff after a while. That’s the way my dad raced. Kyle has that same style. He’s very aggressive.
“Personality-wise, they’re polar opposites. Give me a break. You knew my dad better than that.”
We asked Senior’s former crew chief and Fox NASCAR broadcaster, Larry McReynolds what he thought Tuesday ON PIT ROW.

Future star nothing! Young Joey Logano has the stuff. ARCA president Ron Drager said as much after last night’s three and a half hours of ON PIT RADIO at the historic Toledo Speedway.
Logano spanked - I mean spanked - the 50 car field at the ARCA RE/MAX Carolina 500 Sunday and joined us for a bit on the ARCA RE/MAX Power Hour portion of INSIDE ARCA. Listen to the interview right here.

We spoke with one of our ON PIT ROW favorites, Booty Barker, crew chief of the #70 State Water Heaters Chevrolet. As always, Booty was open and accommodating and you can listen to the whole ten minute interview right here or download it for your MP3 player later.
There is some interesting insight into whether the New Car will help teams to ease the work load and cut costs - two of NASCAR’s stated goals in the CoT’s development.

Way back in March ON PIT ROW was fortunate to put together a show featuring some of the best NASCAR bloggers found anywhere. We have been struggling with features and design for our ON PIT RADIO network page and wanted to save the podcast that we developed from that show for the new page. We are still working on that but, since part of the first “Best of the NASCAR Net” featured a question about next week’s Darlington Cup race, we didn’t feel that we could wait any longer.
Our guests include Jayski of, well Jayski’s, Luke, chief cook at the Thunder Lounge, Tall Glass of Milk of Answer This and theNASCAR Fanhouse at AOL, Bob Ellis of the great NASCAR Ranting and Raving blog, the Scottish Racer, Bram of Backstretch Motorsports and Marc of Full Throttle. All-star team I’m tellin’ ya.
Mixed in is a bit of Bench Racing with Steve and me and some music by the ON PIT ROW house band The Backstretch Boys. I hope you enjoy it. Especially the “out-takes” that BethAnne snuck in. Let us know either way, OK?
